We live in a world where waiting has been imposed upon us. Wait for an event, an improvement, a phone call...wait, wait and wait. Above all, so that other change or act; with the purpose of receiving or leaving benefits but never to act and undertake a change.
We have lost the habit of persisting, of following our social ideals with commitment, discipline, and consistency. And the truth is that we can not continue to wait for the right measures from the legislation, from the means of communication or from any place if so, we will never take part of the matter. Because yes, environmental problems are a reality.
What they have not told us is that no external change has more positive impact than our own. That we have the power to transform the things, with effort, even if they are very small, because small steps can achieve great goals or purposes. Thanks to this, we can encourage the government to take action and support us in this cause.
It is important to learn to respond in every situation. So what are you waiting for? If you are really interested, start by thinking of yourself and like Gandhi said “be the change you wish to see in the world.” Modify the things that you do not like in your closest environment. Luckily, there are very easy things that we can begin to introduce into our routine, and if we manage to change some habits we can see an improvement on a global level.

Start by reorganizing the way you manage your waste: reuse, recycle, and reduce. Buy with your head and carry your own shopping bag. Put aside the plastic bag and start carrying your own reusable bags. Learn and worry about the clothes you buy, become aware of where and how many times you buy. Donate what you no longer use, surely there is someone who needs it. Save water and take shorter showers. Cycle, walk or use public transportation. Avoiding using the car, except when the distance is too much or you go with a great number of people. Take advantage of the maximum light in a day. Turn off the lights when you do not need them and unplug the electronic appliances that you are not using. Air dry your clothes, both your hair like your clothes trying to avoid the maximum use of appliances. You will also save electricity.
It seems strange that some people, no matter how different we are, we can influence something in this world but together we are part of the solution and even though we do not realize, we have the great power to change things.
Because the change is inside of you.
